Custom Honda CB250RS
This bike has a bit of a story! It was the first bike we bought for an Ignite prize back in late 2020 but we loved it so much that we haven’t put it up for a prize! It’s an expensive ornament so the time has come to for someone to win it and enjoy riding it!
It was built by Graham at Street Tuff Customs and has covered under 200 miles since. All winter it was on display in Koti Autotalli, an illustration of the bike features on the Moto & Mischief clothing hang tags and it is just an awesome build! Being a 1980 it’s Tax and MOT exempt too but it’s like a brand new bike, it’s even had a full engine rebuild by superbike team PR Racing.
It started life as a stock 1980 Honda CB250RS, the bike was completely stripped, the engine and carb were sent to PR Racing for a complete rebuild which included new parts, seals and clutch plates.
Engine was bead blasted and all casings brush finished.
The wheels and hubs were sent to Sore Bones Wheelbuilding in York where they were stripped, blasted and black powder-coated followed by new stainless spokes and wheel bearings.
Dunlop Dirttrack tyres, new cush drives, new sprocket, new chain, new rear brake pads and a new custom made stainless chain guard.
The frame and swingarm were stripped, media blasted, a new rear hoop welded, unwanted brackets de-tagged, new mudguard supports welded on and new mounting for the relocated ignition. Then the frame and swingarm were treated to three coats of gloss black paint.
New taper roller bearings were fitted to the steering yoke and yokes modified for the new speedo.
The forks were stripped, resprayed and new springs, seals and boots fitted.
Custom fork and Yoke covered machined out of aluminium.
The front disc brake was CNC drilled, the calliper was completely stripped and fitted with new pistons, pads and seals. Then a Venhill stainless brake line was added.
New pair of TEC piggy back shocks were fitted using custom spacers.
New tank was modified to fit the frame and then sent to Trubikes to be sprayed to match a Blauer Helmet.
A custom black leather seat was made by Car Connection to fit the frame.
New alloy Rear Mudguard was fitted along with a Motone LED Rear Tail light and a metal number plate with custom bracket.
New Aluminium battery tray fabricated, new horn and new ignition switch.
New Custom Fabricated brushed stainless exhaust pipes and short end cans fitted with copper gaskets.
New foot pegs, XL style kickstart lever and rear brake lever.
New Renthal Black Fat handlebars fitted with new CNC risers, black CNC adjustable levers, quick action throttle and bulb style grips.
Full re-wire with a new loom designed, built and fitted by MWS (Motorcycle Wiring Specialists) in Cheltenham.
New Koso Nano Indicators were fitted front and rear with a Motone Quad Switch.
New Motone front Fender with custom made brackets.
New custom made aluminium Number board with LED light strips.
Custom laser cut tank badges with a new knurled aluminium billet gas cap.
New K&N tapered cone air filter and dust cover.
Custom made choke lever, new fuel lines and an in-line CNC filter.
